Surroundings
Lake Garda
Lake Garda is the biggest lake in Italy and is certainly one of the most charming.
Nestling between the green hills and mountainous peaks you will find beaches and coves showered in fragrances and colours.
The mild and temperate climate provides the perfect conditions for the luscious vegetation, reminiscent of the Mediterranean coast.
The lake has always been a source of inspiration for the famous travellers and writers that have stayed there: from Goethe to Byron, Foscolo to Carducci, Rilke, Gide, Lawrence, Ibsen and many more.
Assenza di Brenzone
A typical resort, directly situated on Lake Garda to the south of Malcesine.
Not far from the shore, the small island of Isola di Trimelone rises from the waters.
The truly panoramic hinterland is the idyllic setting for olive grove excursions in the hills.
If you venture into the mountains you can reach the alpine retreats of Monte Baldo.
Sporting activities: surf, water skiing, windsailing school, tennis courts.
Malcesine
Malcesine is one of the most beautiful villages on the lake.
The quaint harbour (“il porticciolo”) is the lively heart of the village - a place so colourful and vivid that it seems almost unreal, as if it were a painting.
This is starting point for the villages characteristic weaving network of narrow cobbled streets, which are overlooked by traditional dwellings, hotels and shops.
Once in the picturesque historical centre, which is
positively teeming with shops and typical bars and restaurants, take your time to visit the striking “Castello” and the “Palazzo dei Capitani”, ancient monuments that are still almost entirely intact.
Verona
The city of Romeo and Juliet and the famous arena is renowned for its annual opera festival.
It also has a wealth of monuments, churches and museums to visit.
Via Mazzini and Corso Portoni Borsari boast a myriad of famous designer labels for all those that want to relax with a spot of shopping.
