CA' DAMIANI

Ca‘ Damiani dates back to the end of the eighteenth century, when it was the Residence of the notary of the Doge of Venice during the period of the “Serenissima Republic of Venice”.
Situated in Caneva, beautiful village at the foot of the mountain, the hotel has a strategic position at the border between the regions Veneto and Friuli Venezia Giulia; it is the ideal base to reach easily the most important places of interest, offering at the same time the possibility of alternative sightseeing such as enotourism and wine routes, naturalistic itineraries, golf, antiquity open-air markets and typical events of the local tradition.

The villa has been completely restored and transformed into a 4-star hotel in 1996.
The accurate intervention tried to maintain everything unaltered so that the hotel can come the guests in a charming and refined past times atmosphere offering at the same time all modern comforts of a 4-star hotel and a friendly hospitality.

The extremely quiet position makes this place even more pleasant; a big park with secular trees such as cedars of Lebanon, magnolias, palms, cypresses, pines, oaks, limes and vines surrounds the villa assuring peace and nice views from the rooms.

All Ca‘ Damiani is a miniature exhibition of old clocks and period furnishings, pictures and curious objects of antiquity of great interest and value.
A particularity: the rooms are not known by numbers, but by the names of important clockmakers and this is due to the fact that the hotel owner is a passionate collector of watches and clocks.
Some rare timepieces belonging to his collection can be admired in the hotel; they are real masterpieces whose originality and beauty surprise our guests.

Each room has its own particular style that reflects the historic period and the country of orgin of its clockmaker; eachone has air-conditioning, minibar, sat-TV, safe, telephone with direct dial and private bathroom with shower or bath tub (both jacuzzi hydromassage).


We pay a particular attention to the morning breakfast that can also be served in the room without extra charge.
The breakfast buffet is very rich: large choice of fresh fruit, biscuits, corn flakes, puddings, yogurts, variety of cheese and ham, fruit juices and squash, and delicious home made cakes and jam.
