Two brothers with business instinct, an antique "tavern" called ”Moccia” (this name has its origins in a small candle which was the only light in this building in the year 1835).
Up to our days, the company has always been managed by the family “Piccardo”; today the owners are the brothers Gianni and Igi, lawful heirs, who are responsible for the building's restructuration conserving its origins.
The real estate is one of the first "witness" of the settlement at "Pegazzano".
Today the former tavern does not only offer a restaurant service but also five beautiful rooms, all with private bathroom, and air condition.
Up to 16 persons can be welcomed (in spring 2004 six other rooms will be ready).
The restaurant's four dining rooms are beautiful, warm, and private, above all thanks to their furniture (walls of stone, boisserie and frescos in ” liberty ”-style well studied, and ubicated in the right manner); as a result the restaurant is perfect for all kinds of meetings (working lunches, social dinners, ceremonies etc.).
During the warm seasons, those who want to eat on the open air, will be impressed by the beautiful pergola with its American vine (it offers place for about 150 persons).
This classic "typical" restaurant is well-known in the whole district of La Spezia for its tradition, the excellent dishes, the summer pergola, and its silence.
