The “Borgo Case Vacanze” holiday homes are located in Letojanni, an old fishing village, which is on the sea along the Ionian coast at the foot of Taormina on the final slopes of Peloritani and among the limpid waters of Homeric Sicily.
The charming seaside resort is nestled in a gulf between two promontories – Capo Sant‘ Alessio (Forza D‘Agrò) and Capo di Sant‘ Andrea (Taormina) – and among citrus groves and prickly pear cacti, with a golden sand beach and crystal-clear water.
The mild climate and nearness to Taormina make Borgo Case Vacanze a pleasant place to stay in any season.
A few houses still remain from the old village, including the “Fisherman's Houses ” which lie in Contrada Sillemi, Greta Garbo‘s preferred holiday place where she stayed at Villa Hauser.
The houses are fully refurbished yet maintain their original character.
The nearness of the sea and sound of the waves, combined with the sweet perfume from jasmine plants, will help you drift into total relaxation.


The apartments are located in the heart of Letojanni, a seaside fishing village just 5 km from Taormina and 50 m from the sea, while the Fisherman's Houses (also in Letojanni) are 200 m from the centre of town and 50 m from the sea.

Bouganville (first floor) and Zagara (second floor) are very light and have a spacious air-conditioned entry-sitting area with two single sofa beds, satellite tv, equipped kitchenette with four-flame stove, fridge, small freezer and washing machine, an air-conditioned double bedroom, and bathroom with shower.
Furnishings are in typical Sicilian style.
Each unit has two balconies: a small one with a view over the old village; the other, equipped with hand-decorated table and chairs, overlooks the old town square.

Ibiscus (first floor), Mimosa (second floor) are very light and have a spacious air-conditioned entry-sitting area with two single sofa beds, satellite tv, equipped kitchenette with four-flame stove, fridge, small freezer and washing machine, an air-conditioned double bedroom, and bathroom with shower.
Furnishings are in typical Sicilian style.
Each unit has a balcony overlooking the centre of the town and equipped with hand-decorated table and chairs.

All the Fisherman's Houses are located in Letojanni in Contrada Sillemi, 200 m from the centre of the town.
- Old pirat's turret
In the past this tower was where guardians stood watch for night-time invasions from the sea by pirates.
If there was a threat, they lighted a fire and let it rise and fall to indicate the number of ships they saw.
The house is arranged on three levels: on the ground floor there is sitting room-kitchen (with four-flame stove, fridge, small freezer,washing machine and all necessary utensils) and a small bathroom with shower; on the first floor there is an air-conditioned bedroom with sea view and a bathroom with shower and hair dryer; on the top floor there is a small, air-conditioned bedroom with one sofa read transformable in double bed or two single beds and a sea-view terrace with a hand-decorated table and chairs where you can dine while enjoying a view of the bay.
- Seaman's house

A fully refurbished 18th-century house that still retains original characteristics, including the original outer walls and flooring made from local stone and terra cotta.
You reach this house by way of a charming alleyway.
In the entry there is a typical two-level atrium.
On the ground floor you find the air-conditioned sitting room with a double sofa bed, satellite tv and an equipped kitchenette with four-flame stove, fridge and small freezer, washing machine, as well as a bathroom with shower.
Going up the old period stone staircase, you find a small balcony with a table and two chairswith sea view , an air-conditioned double bedroom with sea view and a bathroom with shower.

Follow the signs toward Letojannion the SS 114 road for about 2.8 km.
Catania “Fontanarossa” airport: Take the A18 motorway for about 50 km toward Messina, exit Taormina.
Follow the signs toward Letojanni on the SS 114 road for about 2.8 km.
Palermo “Punta Raisi” airport: Take the A19 motorway for about 200 km toward Catania.
Then take the A18 Catania-Messina motorway for about 50 km toward Messina, exit Taormina.
Follow the signs toward Letojanni on the SS 114 road for about 2.8 km.
Reggio Calabria “Punta Cana” airport: Take the highway toward Villa San Giovanni for about 70 km, then take the ferry to Messina (about 20 min sailing time).
When you reach Messina, take the A18 motorway toward Catania, exit Taormina.
Follow the signs toward Letojanni on the SS 114 road for about 2.8 km.
By train: Messina-Catania line, get off at Letojanni (ME).

The apartments are located in the heart of Letojanni where you can find restaurants, bars and shops and fresh food markets, and just 60 m from the sea.
The position is also strategic for visiting the best-known tourist localities of Sicily: Taormina (5 km) with its seaside and Amphitheatre; Giardini Naxos (8 km); the famous Alcantara gorge (15 km); as well as artistic cities and provincial capitals such as Catania (45 km), Siracusa (110 km) and Palermo (250 km).
Other sites of interest include Piazza Armerina (180 km), famous for the mosaics in the Villa Romana del Casale, Valley of the Temples at Agrigento (220 km), and Modica and Ragusa (about 100 km).
For lovers of the sea, there are the Aeolian islands (100 km) and for those who enjoy the mountains, there is Mount Etna at only 35 km.
