Clementina Tower:

It is the most modern one, it was built under Pope Clemente XIV in 1773, it was completely destroyed during the second world war.

It was situated on the shoreline and its task during the years was really hard to cope with, for example it had to fight a hard and long battle against two english ships in 1808.

The tower has been the target of the english fire for three long days, until the invasors landed but after a hard fight ours succeded in chasing the invasors back away.

This tower differentely from the two previous ones had also public functions such as the monitoring and management of the relationships with foreign countries.

These functions let the Vatican earn a lot of money.
