LA TERRAZZA SUL TIGULLIO

It's an attic in a veteran villa, 100 meters far from the sea; it enjoys a breathtaking sight on Tigullio gulf, just in front of Portofino promontory.
To reach your room there are some flights of stairs, but a handy elevator for the luggage is available.
If You would like to reach us with your car, a private parking lot inside the garden will be available for free.
The breakfast is European style, with home made marmalades, peculiar honeys and local specialities; it is served on the terrace in front of the sea, weather permitting.

Rapallo can be reached by railway or by motorway: after crossing the small town, over the promenade and the ancient medieval castle on the seaside, You take to Chiavari, and after 100 meters a small road upward from Aurelia street is Via Baisi.
Rapallo, in the middle of Tigullio Gulf, is so depicted by Vinzoni in the 1767 Index: "Refined and delightful village on the seashore, after which the Gulf is named, has behind a pleasant plain".
Pre-roman village, was the seat of the ligurians "Tigulli"; since X and XI century it was back under Genoa protectorship.
In 1551 the building of the fortress Castle is completed, which makes up the Gulf defensive system, together with more fortifications in Santa Margherita, Paraggi and Portofino.

With San Fruttuoso Abbey, a pearl inserted among the high cliffs of an enchanting bay, only reachable by the seaside or by footpaths, and on whose bottom You can stare at the famous "Cristo degli Abissi", scuba divers preferred destination.

Behind the small town there is the "Santuario di Montallegro", reachable by a cableway which in 10 minutes climbs 680 meters above the sea level, giving away unforgettable views; then the Appennino ridge, rich with green pathways and magic views on the Gulf.

10 km eastward the Aurelia street drives You to Zoagli and Chiavari, arriving to the opposite end of Tigullio: Sestri Levante, wonderful with his two seas.
The local cooking is excellent, rich in Liguria specialities, especially sea ones.
