B&B La terrazza è in una tipica torre ligure del ‘700 situata nel centro storico.

…is situated in the old town of Bordighera, close to the main square ’Piazza del Popolo‘ and in a typical Ligurian tower of the 8th century.
The beaches are at walking distance but you can also take the bus to reach the centre of Bordighera and the Sea.
You have the possibility to enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine and the local specialities, which the various restaurants in the old town, the centre and along the sea-side promenade offer.

Completely refurbished, our rooms with vaulted ceilings and the typical Ligurian stone walls are light and with a warm décor; all with bathroom and air conditioning.
The breakfast room has a lovely terrace with panoramic view over the Mediterranean Sea.
Breakfast is served in the breakfast room that overlooks the terrace with incomparable sea view.
Historic house not served by a lift, rooms are located from 3 / 4 floor.


We have 3 completely renovated rooms, which are dedicated to the grandmothers and the great-grandmother.
They are with vaulted ceilings and the typical Ligurian stone walls, light and with a warm décor.
All have a bathroom, air conditioning and TV.
Ligurian typical tower not served by a lift , rooms are located from 3 / 4 floor.
Terrace available to guests.

The breakfast is served from 8h30 to 10h30 in the breakfast room, which also has a terrace with a breathtaking view over the Mediterranean Sea and the town of Bordighera.


How to get there:
* BY CAR:
Arriving on the motorway A10 coming from either France/Nice in the west or Genova in the east, take the motorway exit ’Bordighera‘.
After the exit, at the roundabout, follow the direction ’Bordighera centro‘.
You will drive down a windy coastal road, which gives you a panoramic view over the town and will bring you directly to the centre and the old town.
Staying in Bordighera you have the chance to visit San Remo (at 13 km), Ventimiglia (at 5 km), the Principality of Monaco (at 30 km) and French cities such as Menton (at 15 km) and Nice (at 50 km).
* BY TRAIN:
The train station in the centre of Bordighera can be reached with trains coming from either France/Nice in the west or Genova and Milan in the east.
Bus and taxi service from the train station.
* BY PLANE:
Nice Airport is the nearest one (2nd airport in France after Paris) at approx 50 km.
From Nizza you can take the train to Ventimiglia and then continue to Bordighera either by train or bus, or simply take a taxi.
At Nice Airport you can also rent a car and drive to Bordighera on the motorway A10 (see above).

The historical old town of Bordighera...
“Few houses piled up on a hill forming a labyrinth of narrow streets going up and down, with the mystery of the antique fortress, built in defence from the ’Saraceni‘, still present.” That is how Edmondo de Amicis described the picturesque old town of Bordighera.
Hundred years later things have not changed a lot and the historic old part is still fascinating.

It is a fortified village in the form of an irregular pentagon surrounded by medieval ramparts, which have been reinforced in the middle of the 6th century.
To access you pass one of the three gates: the ’Porta del Capo‘ or ’Porta Nuova‘ in the south, dating back to the 7th century, the ’Porta Soprana‘ or ’Porta della Maddalena‘ in the east, inaugurated in 1780, and the ’Porta Sottana‘ in the west, which was built in 1470 when the village was founded and renovated in the Baroque era crowned by the Genovese coat of arms of ’San Giorgio‘.
There are various alleys and small squares but the two main streets are ’Via Lunga‘ and ’Via Dritta‘.
The majority of the houses are built with arches in support of the walls reminding the terrifying earthquake of 1887.
