Il Fornaccio is an ancient farm house of the fiteenth-sixteenth century, once part of the old farm called "dell Olmo" (Elm tree), formerly the property of the Busini, a rich merchant, Florentine family; (more recently owned by the Marcheses Rosselli del Turco), carefully and conservatively restored, and graced by a spacious garden, featuring a majestic, centuries old ilex.
The house is sited at 500 meters above sea level in a private and quiet location, but easily reached either by car or public transport (a bus stop is 700 meters from the house, the train station Caldine is six kilometers away).
It is set in the middle of olive groves and cultivated fields.
From the windows and garden one enjoys a fantastic verdant panorama looking towards Florence, Fiesole, and the surrounding hills.
Here in a warm and informal atmosphere you will find a large suite (70 square meters) with terracotta floors, exposed beams, decorated tastefully, equipped with all conveniences.
